Document Library
Documents are central to the NeatWorx.COM system. Documents are generally HTML format and can also be of external types such as PDF, MS Word, MP3, Videos or MS Excel. You can control who is allowed to create and edit on-line documents, and documents can be stored in system or user defined categories to make them simple to retrieve. You can also control who is allowed to see particular types of documents. For example, minutes from your clubs executive meetings can be setup so that only members of type "executive" have access so that members of the public or other member types will simply not see the document in their view of the document library.
Documents can also be Newsletters or E-mails. By using the document management facilities you can author on-line e-mails and Newsletters in such a way that they remain archived on the system. Furthermore, documents such as Newsletters can be sent automatically by e-mail to your membership while respecting a members right to opt-out of receiving unsolicited e-mail communication. Documents that are sent by e-mail support automatic mail merge functionality. Simply by inserting text like {fname} {lname} in your document, NeatWorx will automatically substitute a member's firstname and lastname in all correspondence allowing you to send highly relevant communications to your membership.
NeatWorx.COM is also "google aware" and users can control whether pages are indexed by the Google search spider. Google searchable documents become part of a generated sitemap and the sitemap will be searched by Google. Note that no confidential documents can be indexed by Google since even if the URL to access the document is known the Google spider will not be "logged in" and therefore will not have visibility to the document. |
